at the 3rd Symposium on Controlled Substances and Their Alternatives for Pain at Tufts University School of Medicine

Dr.David DiBenedetto, Dr. Valerie Weed and Dr. Jordan Backstrom presented at the 3rd Symposium Controlled Subsstances and Their Alternatives for Pain at Tufts University School of Medicine on February 27th.  Dr. DiBenedetto presented on "Controlled Substances and Screening: Assessing the Spectrum of Risks to Patient, Prescriber and Community". Dr. Weed presented on "The Patient Requesting Medical Marijuana Therapy: Complex Case Review across Disciplines--The Pediatric Pain Patient", and Dr. Backstrom presented on Physician Certification: The Steps and Pitfalls for the Provider--The Pscyhological Assessment".

This goal of the symposium was to gather multiple specialists from across disciplines in an effort to provide current scientific, public policy, and regulatory guidance in the setting of an interactive forum on the complicated issues.
